The archival research uncovered some gems, like this appearance by Henry Kissinger, talking to an Argentine reporter in 1977. He is seen coming out of a meeting in New York with President Videla, the head of the military junta. Kissinger was no longer secretary of state but still deemed powerful enough to mandate a visit. He was clearly addressing an Argentine audience, thinking that this would never be seen in the US. At the time the military's human rights violations were well known.
